 Festival Rules

Please keep in mind we are still a fledgling 

Event, but we are growing year by year!

StarGate BADGES for Cosplayers

All Cosplayers must have a Badge, which is free........just ask us for info.

  1. If you do lose your badge please check with a StarGate Staffer to see if your badge has been turned in.
  2. Please return all “Found” badges to Front Desk (Star Gate).
  3. Proper identification MUST be provided in order for your lost badge to be returned to you.
  4. We suggest writing your name on the back of your badge.


  1. Anything illegal outside of the convention is illegal inside the convention. Harassment isn’t tolerated.
  2. Please no glomping. We’ve had  a few casualties.
  3. Please take mock battles and Photo Shoots of said mock battles outside (unless its part of an event).
  4. Please ask permission before touching a Cosplayer, their costume, or their props.You are welcome to take photos, but please ask a Cosplayer’s permission to take a photo before asking them to pose.
  5. Harassment of others at StarGate  is not tolerated.
Weapons Policy

REAL WEAPONS are not Permitted at our Event. All Cosplayer Weapons will be checked by our staff.

No metal swords, knives, bayonets, cane-swords, and/or other objects made of metal, which have a sharp point or sharpened edge. Exceptions may be made for Cosplayers during the masquerade. There are to be no explosives or chemicals of any kind, including but not limited to smoke powder, sparklers and fireworks.
No real or replica guns of any kind permitted. This includes :

Pellet guns, Air Guns, Mini or Pistol crossbows, Stun guns, Dart or Blowguns.

Wooden, foam and plastic weapons that are permitted::

Staffs with no metal points/spearhead, Canes, foam nunchucks, walking sticks, bokken and other wooden swords toothpicks are an exception. "ANY" Misuse of any weapon, such as swinging it in a public area or causing hazards to others, will get you Removed from the Event, immediately.

StarGate Galactic Festival DRESS CODE

Shirts, clothing, costumes, or signs promoting pedophilia are strictly prohibited.

Please do not wear clothing with distasteful messages or words.

Proper footwear is required at all times. shoes, boots, flip flops are just fine. An exception is made for Cosplayers during the Event.

No Skates, rollerblades or hoover boards allowed in the Building.

Short skirts, kilts, etc must be accompanied by proper underwear. Ineffective underwear or a lack thereof constitutes indecent exposure. Offenders may be turned over to law enforcement.

Clothing should at least cover what a 2-piece bikini (for females) or swim shorts (for males) would cover.

Signs that are held or messages/words written on shirts or your body are permitted but they must stay tasteful.

Vendors Info: we don not allow any vendors during our Event.
